Last trip to University of Washington

We couldn't leave Seattle without visiting the University of Washington. It seemed a lot more fun this time when you aren't needing to take a final or going to class. Daniel and Peter came along with us, and we had great time!

Suzanna insisted on walking most of the way, she did such a great job! She had Daniel in one hand and Casey in the other.
Needless to say she got a lot of stares as she was the youngest one on campus.

Boy does she love her Uncle Peter! He warmed up her first room, kind of a roomate for the first 9 months of her life. Don't worry Peter, she'll always have a special connection with you!

Three Years!

We've been married three years now. Who would have known this Marine and Combat Medic would be together after we meet six years ago. It all started at Ft. Belvoir Virginia, where I was on my last duty station and Casey was studying at the mapping school.
(Fort Belvoir, August 2000)

Since summer of 2000, we have logged enough miles to travel around the planet twice. Casey was sent to Okinawa Japan then North Carolina, and finally a smoldering trip to the Horn of Africa (Djibouti). During the same time, I traveled on holiday to the motherland (Scotland!) and a mission to Estonia. The military tried but couldn't keep us apart. Soon after Casey left the Marines we were married in Seattle Washington. We have loved it here, it's felt like home.

Proud University of Washington Graduates!!
What can we say? We're a Husky family.
(August 2006)

The next chapter in our lives will start in St. Louis Missouri. It's a good thing that we both have combat training, we may have to use it! We look forward to new adventures and new places to travel.

A day at Dash Point State Park

There are so many parks and other fun things to do around here. In fact, just in and around Federal Way itself there are many state parks. The ocean (Puget Sound) is down the road with many different locations to choose from. You can choose to walk the boardwalk (Redondo Beach), swim or play in the sand (Saltwater State Park), swing on the swings or play on the jungle gym (Dash Point)....all within arms length of the Puget Sound.

With that said, we ventured out one bright and sunny Saturday (last weekend) to Dash Point State Park. You couldn't have asked for better weather, and the water was brilliant! Of course, keep in mind that we are in Washington....so you really have to be tough to swim in the water when it is only 65 degrees outside.

Casey can always get some of the best smiles.

Suanna is One with the Puget Sound.

Ethan, you are right...look at those muscles! I'd call that a one-armed pull-up....look out USMC, is this a future "Devil Dog"??
HURRAH!

We call this her "Mogley" walk....you would be surprised by her speed!

I love those toes!

Got to love the piggies!
I feel as though now Casey's new job is real and we will leave Washington, I am trying to soak in everything I can. I can't get enough of my nieces and nephews, so much that I feel I've kind of turned into this Japanese tourist who takes pictures of everything. I'm trying to capture all I can on film for memory sake. I keep telling myself they won't be this age forever, their little feet will soon grow and grow. How I love this place we've called home for three years. I love her forest green, weather so moderate, Mt. Rainier whom you can see from your front yard, fresh water of the Puget Sound...and last but now least the family we will leave behind.

Now on to the new! Besides the security of a career job, our family is most excited about being so close to Tennessee and our kin there. Heck, what is a 7 hour drive compared to a 7 hour plane ride? We will almost be in stones throw of Spencer....look out here we come!
