Little Angels

To think they start out so small...
We truly have been blessed with two little angels. How were we so lucky??

Yesterday I heard Suzanna walking around saying "Shhhhhhh" softly to her baby, with a bottle in the other hand. It was so sweet...I've also heard her say to the baby "It's okay.....it's okay".
This little Mama has it down!
We got some smiles out of little Bella...she is intrigued as to what Daddy has to say. Isn't that a sweet face? She is now 4 weeks old.

Bubbles

Who doesn't love bubbles??
Bubbles, bubbles every where! Here Suz is trying to blow bubbles with Ella in her arms.
Giving little sister some girl talk.

Grammy

We can't quiet get a "Grammy" out of our toddlers lips....but the closest thing we hear is "Mimi". Sure, we'll take it! Here the girls are spending time with Mimi.
Getting a "high-five" out of Mimi....watch out, Daddy is right around the corner!
Daddy scares always get a reaction out of everyone!

Daddy???

long weekend

Over this long weekend we were blessed to have Grammy and Aunt Angie here to help out. It was a nice break, having someone here to change a dirty diaper here and there, let Casey and I go on a date...you know...things you miss when a new born comes. We have actually been very blessed since Ella's birth. We had Grammy for the first week, Nana a week and half after, Colleen over a weekend....and now Aunt Angie and Grammy!!

Look at this little Volunteer go!
I suppose Suzanna has felt as though we've had a carnival here in our very own home. She's had plenty of popcorn, rides, lots of shopping and a lot of attention.
Aunt Angie got her work out, chasing Suzanna around and around and also lifting her....it's better than going to the gym!

Girls rule...Boys.....you know

Looking at this picture it reminds me of what my little nieces say.....
Sing it Maddy & Lizzy....."Girls Rule and Boys Druel". (Even Ella agrees with the fist in the air)
Sorry Casey, it appears you are out numbered 3 to 1!

After church

Looking at the window after church....
This little one loves nursery! She'd prefer to skip Sacrament Meeting and go straight to music time in nursery.

Our little girls

We have been enjoying the two girls and the way they interact. Suzanna is such a good sister. She is responding well with the new addition to our family. There are frequent requests for hugs and kisses....I caught one here below.
"What big eyes you have!"
We have two girls that like doing tummy time now....remember when you, Liz, would also participate with Suz on the floor? "Tummy time, tummy time....Tummy time, tummy time..." (put those words to the tune of "Stepping Time".
"Cheese!"

Mac Been's visit

Our weekend ended too soon, Mac Been had to go back and play solider. It's a good thing Kansas is only a 5.5 hour drive away...makes family feel a lot closer.

We are so proud of our flute player......bringing joy to soldiers through music, thank you for your service Sergeant!!

Aunt Mac Been

Aunt Colleen and Suz.....

This Aunt should get a medal, she changed Ella's diaper when no sooner Suz mustered up a dirty, and Ella again for round two. All in 5 minuets, what a trooper!

Somehow Suz ended up talking Aunt Colleen into pushing her around in this little shopping cart. They ran around the kitchen over and over again.....just like an Army workout, who needs P.T.?
Aren't Aunt's so fun?

Aunt Colleen

When Aunt Colleen is here.....we celebrate two Birthdays! This is he first time Colleen has meet her Shockley nieces....and the first Murray sibling to meet Ella.

It didn't take long for Suz to warm up to her Aunt. Colleen made Suzanna her second birthday cake....how fun is that, celebrate two Birthdays for your 2nd Birthday!! ALRIGHT!
Does she look like she is missing teeth??
Little sister.

Little German Dress

This dress has been around since Nana was a little toddler. It has been worn for 3 generations. It was made by a German woman when Nana was a toddler. After Nana, it was worn by all her girls, (Alisha, myself, Diane and Colleen), as well as Lizzy and now Suzanna. Can't wait for Ella to take her turn.

By the way, Alisha or Nana, if you can find pictures of any of us wearing the dress, I'd love to have them.

Happy 2nd Birthday!!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!!
It's Suzanna's Birthday! Everyone has been asking how she has adjusted to having a baby sister in the house. I am pleased to announce she is doing a terrific job! She loves to give hugs (to everyone, including Ella) and she gives kisses out freely to her as well.
I think this little girl is growing up!!
Suz wanted to thank everyone for remembering this special day....seems as though the older she gets the more fun it is to celebrate!

Suz has a new best friend. Lately she has been asking to hold and hug her. She also gives frequent kisses to her new sister.
What cute little girls!

A swim to cool you off....

Just what you need to cool you off....a nice swim!
Nana and Suz got wet, but Ella and I were off to the side baking in the sun. Wow, water really can make a hot and humid day seem bearable.
Say cheese Nana and Suz!

4th of July Family

We were hoping for a 4th of July baby....but now that we have our little Ella, it's become a 4th of July family. Our Suz was born about a week after America's birthday, now Ella was born about a week before. Hummm...do you think we'll ever hit it exactly on the 4th??
Casey can't wait for the fireworks. Aren't Daddy's so much fun?

All American Girl

This All American Girl is ready for the 4th of July!!
Can you tell by the boots??
Nana and Suzanna heading out for a walk. Can you see the sparkle in Suzanna's eye?
